Edwin Bos

Oh Edwin, Nico and I will miss your big goofy smile so much! Our hearts break for losing you as well as seeing your mom and dad (our besties Marga & Henk) and your sister Carmen (and bf Carter) in this much pain. We promise you we will support them the best we can

The best way to pay tribute to this great guy, is to show you the text that Henk, Marga and Carmen wrote for him and please watch the collage they compiled (music is audible after the first song.)

“It is with profound sadness and broken hearts we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Edwin on Tuesday, April 21, 2020. Beloved son to Marga and Henk Bos, and faithful brother to his loving sister Carmen.

Edwin was born on June 8, 1997 in the Netherlands. From the day he was born, Edwin’s goofy smile would light up the room.  During his younger years Edwin found his love for soccer and loved goofing around with his best friends in Meeden. Once the family moved to Canada, Edwin and his sister Carmen’s bond grew even closer. Always competing and supporting each other in snowboarding, game nights, and everything in between. Edwin convinced his parents to add another member to the family, Percy our wonderful dog. The love Edwin and Percy had was unfathomable. He was his best friend, comrade, and they spent so much time playing and longboarding together.

As a family we were able to go on numerous adventures, exploring the world together.  Many mountains were conquered, Disney World was explored, Rome and Barcelona were discovered. In 2019 the Bos Family was able to travel together to New Zealand, creating new memories together. These adventures and memories will be cherished and will last forever in our hearts.

During his years in Elementary and High school he made many connections with friends, sharing sports, music, arts, and many milestones. Edwin brought so much joy into everyone’s life with his infectious smile, laugh, positivity, kindness, art, music, the list could go on. Last year Edwin made the brave decision to move alone to the beautiful mountain town Nelson, BC where he attended Digital Arts at the Selkirk College.  In the last year he found himself and the love of his art, music and friends. His bright smile seemed to grow brighter being surrounded by the mountains. His best friend Kayle, Henk, Marga, Carmen and Carter were lucky enough to see Edwin in his new home over the last winter, where we could see he was flourishing.

Edwin was on his way home to be with his family and friends in Balgonie when the unfortunate car accident took away his amazing soul. In lieu of flowers, our family ask that donations may be made in remembrance of Edwin’s generous, loving, and caring soul to The Pack Project, 1143 Lakewood Court, Regina, SK S4X 3S3 who are a nonprofit foundation for dog rescue.

We will miss you Edwin.  Have a safe journey to heaven, until we meet again.

We zullen altijd van jou houden Edwin.
