Hey folks!
Yeah yeah I’m still alive.. just so busy and distracted that I didn’t get to writing here.
So yeah, we went to the Rock Hard festival and we saw and hung out with the Into Eternity boys!!!!!! WOOH! The festival itself is really awesome, fairly small and in an amphitheater on the side of a canal, really something else. We ran into the guys when they had just arrived, during the Destruction gig. It was great to finally meet them all, and it was so natural to hang out with them, as if we do nothing else (I expected it to feel surreal after two years of chatting and phone calls). Tim stayed with us (Nico, Cora and myself) most of the time, the others we saw off and on and Troy was running around with his camera, he must’ve talked to thousands of people LOL! Fans reacted to us wearing IE shirts and oh boy, the amazement in their faces when they then looked up into Timmy’s face, haha!! Very cool 🙂
The second day we saw them play and it was amazing! Unfortunately the sound wasn’t too good in the front, I wish I could rewind and see the show again, from the steps :mrgreen:, since the sound in the theater was really very well everywhere else. They played “3 Dimensional Aperture”, so I was happy haha! That scream of Rob, those first three lines in death vocals by Rob, then Chris, then Tim – WOAAHHHH!! The signing session shortly after the gig was pretty crowded, and the guys were heaving a blast! It was so great to see them, esp. Chris and Troy, grinning from ear to ear and enjoying all the attention! The rest of the festival was killer too, esp. Metal Church’s return (wooaaaaaahhhhhh Ronny Munroe is one helluva singer!!) and Machine Head was FKN HEAVY!! No rap shit there anymore 😉
Monday was a day off, so we took Tim home with us, Cora joined us the next day with breakfast and we just hung out in our yard all day, until Cora took Tim back to Germany in the evening (Century Media office in Dortmund). The guys did some shows with Naglfar in Hamburg, Berlin and Osnabrück. The last one was attended to by Silkie, her review and pics are already online at the zine: http://www.morrigans-pit.org/mp/live_naglfar030604.php. On Saturday they played the Gods Of Metal festival in Italy (see e.g. pics by Caroline at www.photopit.com!) and Sunday they came back to Dortmund for a quite night in a local bar/restaurant/beer garden before flying back to Canada on Monday. Nico had to work early but was off on Monday, so we (as well as Cora) drove to Dortmund to hang out with them (and finally get a few alt beers haha!!), it was great to have some more quality time with all of them 🙂
I’m now busy updating the Brainstorm page (they’ve finally played the States, yeaaahhhh!!!! at the BW&BK festival last weekend), got a few more things to do at the shop-webjob, but today I really have to get some things in order concerning Morrigan’s Pit. Like getting the accreditation requests out to the Wacken festival and some more of that stuff. It’s been too long since I’ve done anything for the zine, due to having too many different things on my mind – I really have to get back to it and not let the other girls do all the work 😕
