Motorhoming! 2016 highlights!
Again a great camping year and we didn’t even go to Ontario yet! Went to Buffalo Pound and Douglas a few times, Duck Mountain, Crooked Lake and Rowan’s Ravine.

Wakaw Grad
We went to Wakaw for Laurens’s Highschool Grad, congrats! The “dry grad” party was at the Molendijks this year! After a few days we woke up to eerie orange lights and smoky skies, it was smoke from the forest fires up north that were only 3.5 hours away!

Snow, Red Deer
Waking up to SNOW! Instead of the scenic route, we get the hell out of the mountains and take the highway to Edmonton and then Red Deer, where we are meeting up for the first time with Marjolein and Menno. That was awesome! 🙂
Jasper, Maligne Lake, bighorn sheep and a bear!
Yesterday we took the tramway up the Whistlers Mountain where the views were fantastic! We also drove to the Athabasca Falls and today we took the Maligne Lake Road to hopefully see some wildlife. Well, a lot of bighorn sheep and one bear! Woohoo!
Lake Louise & Moraine, Icefields Parkway
A very busy day! We visited Lake Louise and (very quick as there was no parking spot) Moraine Lake, then went on the Icefields Parkway to Jasper. We stopped at Bow Lake, the Big Bend viewpoint and the Sunwapta Falls before we parked for the night at the Whistlers campground … » full post and pics!
