It’s almost 2016 already… what did prairie life bring us in 2015?

First of all, a nice car upgrade (2011 Dodge Journey) in January! In April we finally had our roof redone and in the summer we had many great camping trips in our beautiful province again, together with our kitties. In September/October we went to Europe to attend the Progpower festival in Baarlo, which is always like a big family reunion :), to visit family and friends in Holland and to spend a few days in Luxembourg and Germany.

Recently we’ve had Boyd do some renovations in the upstairs bathroom and kitchen, but unfortunately I (Marlies) haven’t been able to finish my part yet, which was refinishing the kitchen cabinet doors. I hurt my back with that and had to stop for now. My doc suspects a bulging or herniated disc and esp. a pinched sciatic nerve is keeping me pretty immobilized for now. Hopefully it will heal soon!

So because of this, the holidays will be fairly quiet for us, but we’re looking forward to spending it with friends: supper on Christmas Day and Boxing Day and a small get together on New Year’s Eve instead of the usual big party (sorry, we can’t host one this year because of my back). I hope your holidays are filled with as much love as ours!
