This year was about renovation for us. We had our basement gutted and build up from scratch (incl. sewer, electricity, ducts) to a beautiful living and entertaining space! It took many months and we’re still busy with little projects throughout the house. In the meantime, Nico finally got his crowns on all his (worn down) teeth and has a celebrity smile now! In the summer we enjoyed the camping season and a visit to family and friends in Europe. This time we only visited some friends in Germany and met our family in a resort in Belgium with more time and space to ourselves, less stress, so it was more vacation for us too! Last month we had a huge celebration here in Regina, when our football team the Saskatchewan Roughriders won the (national) Grey Cup here at home!!<\/p>\n

Winter came early and without mercy (-20’s and -30’s right away), and since we wanted to pick up a winter activity without trying skiing right away (Nico always says he’s glad he can walk!), we bought snowshoes! We already posed with them in -24\u00b0C, haha!<\/p>\n
