Besides catching up with John and Diana, we’re enjoying Kelowna! We’ve been to the city centre and the harbour, we love the gorgeous location on Okanagan Lake. We’ve also been driving to Lake Country along the lake and to Mission where we took great pics in Cedar Creek Park with vistas over the lake. We also went to the farmer’s market where we met Monique with her Dutch stroopwafels and we met Linda and Ab for coffee here in Kelowna (they live near Fintry).

Work-wise we’re not getting anywhere though. Nico has been emailing and phoning, but couldn’t get more out of contacts then he already got over email from home and the HR contact of the Health Region didn’t have time to meet him (we thought it could help to show his face). The BC work centres were a big let down too, I had expected them to have more contacts with employers and other info, but they pretty much only asked if we had googled for jobs and pointed to their computers one can use. Duh 🙁 We’re still having an excellent vacation though!
