So freaking happy to be back on Crete after 13 years!! Kalyves doesn’t seem to have changed all that much, still the laid back Greek town with moderate tourism and great restaurants. This time we stayed with Christi Apartments, close to where we stayed 13 years ago. Fantastic!

We spent the day in South-Holland: visiting Rita at home, to the famous miniature world Madurodam with Ton, Martijn, Sander and Amy (they are visiting from South Korea, btw!) and we met with my dear friend Anneke on the North Sea beach after many years!
What a great celebration! The reception in the home was busy, lots of family and veterans, which meant a lot to him. The deputy mayor was also there and there was a royal letter with congratulations from the king and queen!

Time to get back to the old country for dad’s 100th (!!) and a week of Crete (!!). We flew to Frankfurt this time and are spending a night with Markus in Weilrod.
